Giles’ Guide to online shopping

Online shopping can benefit lots of people. Perhaps you don’t have time to get to the shops this week? Maybe getting out and about isn’t as easy as it used to be? Perhaps the weather is just awful and you’re far too comfortable snuggled up on the sofa to venture out.

Most retailers now offer online shopping and cheap deliveries, including Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.

You simply pick your preferred supermarket and visit their online site. For this article, we’ll use Tesco as our example.

Tesco will prompt you to create an account before you can start shopping. Make sure you have your Clubcard number ready if you want to collect points.

Once you’ve created your account, you can begin to shop. Click on the department you wish to shop from and add individual items into your online basket. Once you’ve filled your basket with everything you need, click on checkout. The website will ask you to enter your delivery address, payment details, and select your delivery slot. And that’s it!

You can now relax and get on with your day, knowing that your shopping is being done and will be with you soon.

The delivery driver will bring your shopping to your door, and will even take it into your kitchen if you ask them.
